Sprint is launching a new device on its network later this week that combines three items in one. The ZTE-produced Sprint LivePro is a miniature portable projector, which aside from being able to project an image between 10 inches and 10 feet in size, also functions as an LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and is capable of charging up a smartphone or tablet using its 5,000mAh battery.
Using the LivePro’s 4-inch touchscreen display running Android 4.2, users can access apps and media from Google Play, displaying content on it’s own, though it can also source media from its HDMI and USB connections, and wirelessly using Bluetooth and Miracast over Wi-Fi. Measuring 4.7-inches square and 1.1-inches thick, it uses Sprint’s Spark LTE network, and can share the connection with up to eight devices over Wi-Fi. Audio comes from its embedded speaker, but it can also connect to separate speaker units via Bluetooth or using its 3.5mm headphone jack.
