Square Enix originally said that Final Fantasy 15’s multiplayer expansion, called Comrades, would launch at the end of October but then unexpectedly delayed it. The publisher said that the delay was due to further tuning the experience before release. Luckily, there’s a new release date now. The expansion is launching in a little over a week on November 15, 2017.
Comrades allows players to create their own character participate in co-op events. You can take on quests with up to three other players online. Many gamers wanted to play the title like this originally so the feature is almost here. Hopefully it’ll be a smooth experience without technical problems.
However, that’s not all the company announced today. Many gamers have been asking for an Xbox One X patch for Final Fantasy XV since the console was announced. It was unclear when the patch would drop because Square Enix promised to update the game for Microsoft’s upcoming console, but never provided any concrete information aside from that. In a rather surprising move — a day before the Xbox One X’s launch — the patch dropped. Everyone can download it now even if you have an Xbox One S by enabling the console to store 4K data in preparation for the Xbox One X. Surprisingly, it uses the same assets as the PC version.
