Disney’s big-screen version of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ John Carter, directed by Andrew (Finding Nemo) Stanton, won’t be out for three more weeks. While on press tour, producer Jim Morris, sais that Stanton and his co-writer Michael Chabon have already been talking and doing some planning and writing for a sequel, which would tentatively be called John Carter: The Gods of Mars, based on Burroughs’ second novel.
This sequel has not been given a green light by Walt Disney Pictures, so it just a big rumor at this point.
