“Super Smash Bros 4” for 3DS and Wii U is getting an unusual cameo. According to a recent report by Mii Gamer, Masahiro Sakurai confirmed that the Cuccos will be added to the crossover fighting video game. The chickens came from “The Legend of Zelda” franchise. Although they are normally peaceful, a flock will raid the player if he attacks one of their comrades. The game director hinted that a similar sequence will occur in “Super Smash Bros 4” for Wii U and 3DS.
“Never bully Cuccos. Seriously, attacking them is out of the question! This has always been a cardinal rule of The Legend of Zelda series” Sakurai commented.
The game director did not clarify how the Cuccos will appear in the levels. The characters could be an assist trophy, item drop or stage hazard.
“The Legend of Zelda” is well represented in the upcoming software product. Along with the aforesaid Cuccos, the crossover fight game also features three playable characters with Link, Toon Link and Zelda. More fighters should also be announced in the future.
The release date for “Super Smash Bros 4” for Wii U and 3DS was previously confirmed by Nintendo to be set sometime before the end of this year. The company has not yet provided a more specific launch window, however.
