The T-Mobile is now selling the G2X at the T-Mobile online store. Based on LG’s Optimus 2X, the phone is one of the first to feature NVIDIA’s dual-core Tegra 2 running at 1GHz. The phone is currently only available online and won’t appear in T-Mobile’s bricks and mortar stores until April 20.
The phone runs on T-Mobile’s 4G, HSPA+, network and is capable of 14.2 Mbps downstream connectivity. It currently runs a stock version of Android 2.2 (Froyo), which will help to facilitate its soon to be released Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) software update. The phone weighs just 5-ounces and its lithium ion battery is good for up to 7 hours talk time, or stand by time of up to 12 days.
The T-Mobile G2X is retailing for $200 with a new two-year contract after an instant $250 discount and a $50 mail-in rebate.
