T-Mobile has begun rolling out Android 3.1 updates for tablets. The update, which brings the software forward from Android 3.0, enables users to take advantage of Google Videos for movie rentals and purchases, while USB accessory support can be used to connect keyboards, pointing devices or other controllers.
The interface has been improved with new customization options, including resizability for Calendar, Gmail and other built-in widgets. The recent apps list has also been expanded to reflect the entire range of recent activity.
The software update addresses several issues specific to the G-Slate, including bugs that had caused force closes with the Google Talk and Music apps. T-Mobile also claims the update brings improved browser and widget responsiveness.
Android 3.1 for the G-Slate is automatically rolling out to all customers. Users will be notified when the update is available to install.
