T-Mobile in a far from cryptic Facebook tease on Monday raised the possibility that the myTouch 4G Slide is coming soon. Saying “big news is on the way,” the carrier has posted a picture piecing together the name of the Android device. It stops short of providing details of the phone itself.
The 4G Slide is a direct sequel to the 3G Slide but is now a much more powerful device than before. Along with the HSPA+ data defining its name, it should have a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor and an eight-megapixel camera. HTC is making the phone and will ship Sense 3.0 on top of Android 2.3, although T-Mobile is known to have a hand in customizing the OS for itself.
An unveiling or release is presumed to be coming for the first half of July.
