T-Mobile announced today that it would be closing out 2012 by expanding its 4G coverage to 14 new metropolitan areas. The expansion is part of an ongoing $4 billion plan to advance T-Mobile’s high speed network, which now offers enhanced coverage for more than 100 million people across the United States. T-Mobile’s network is compatible with unlocked AT&T devices, and the company is actively encouraging AT&T customers to make the switch, advertising savings of up to $50 a month.
The newest expansion will cover New York, NY, Newark, NJ, Boston and Cambridge, MA, Springfield, MA, Providence, RI, Philadelphia, PA, Detroit and Warren, MI, Dallas and Fort Worth, TX, Austin and San Antonio, TX, and Tampa FL. T-Mobile is also expanding its network in Los Angeles and San Diego, CA.
