Summit Entertainment has hired “Terra Nova” writer Barbara Marshall to write Exorcism Diaries, Deadline reports. The project, which was at one point in time to be written by Jay Baruchel, is based on the book “The Real Story Behind the Exorcist: A Study of the Haunted Boy and Other True-Life Horror Legends from Around the Nation’s Capital.”
Marshall is a relative newcomer to Hollywood, but her script Peste landed on the black list in 2012. That script is currently set for development through IM Global.
Exorcism Diaries will be produced by Doug Davison, Roy Lee and Sonny Mallhi.
