Tesla shares were halted at $367 a share shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday after CEO Elon Musk sent a string of tweets saying he is considering taking the company private.
Shares jumped as much as 8% midday Tuesday after Chief Executive Elon Musk tweeted that he was “considering” taking the Silicon Valley car maker private at $420 a share.

The tweet recently has more than 14,000 likes and more than 3,000 retweets.

Musk also tweeted he’d hope “all” investors would remain with Tesla even if it went private.
