Tetris Ultimate, Blue Planet Software’s multi-mode version of the classic puzzle game will launch on PlayStation Vita in fall, Sony has announced during E3 2014.
The downloadable game supports 1-4 players who can battle cascading blocks in six different modes. Battle is a head-to-head skirmish, Endless involves players scoring as much as they can in 30 levels and Marathon consists of 15 levels. Power-Up Battle equips players with powers, while Ultra is a three-minute timed challenge and Sprint involves clearing 40 lines as quickly as possible.
The Tetris Company and Ubisoft announced in January that the franchise was also headed to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this summer and PC this fall for the game’s 30th anniversary.
Alexey Pajitnov, Tetris Company managing director Henk Rogers and Blue Planet Software CEO Maya Rogers will be at Ubisoft’s E3 booth this year to show off Tetris Ultimate.
