Downtime issues connected with today’s scheduled maintenance have been confirmed by Ubisoft, mainly affecting PS4 users.
The servers went back online at around 1pm but problems persisted for those trying log in on the Sony next-gen console.
It took around two hours for the issues plaguing the PS4 version of The Division to be resolved, Ubisoft has now confirmed that the game is up and running properly again.
“We are aware of log in issues for PS4 players leading to Delta errors. This is under investigation,” Ubisoft originally posted, before adding: “The log in issue on PS4 has now been completely resolved. Thank you for your patience.”
That doesn’t mean that players are not seeing errors within the game, fans have been writing on The Division forums on the current state of the new title
“I’m stuck on a mission and no enemies are loading, I can’t even pick up ammo. my character just stands in front of the box, crouches down for 10 seconds and stands up.”
It is not clear how widespread these problems are and if they are only affecting a select group of fans on the PS4 platform.
Ubisoft has also revealed that The Division will be going offline for routine maintenance each week for the foreseeable future.
Gamers will be unable to access the MMO while scheduled maintenance is being performed at 8am, Zulu time.
Ubisoft announced the news today, giving fans no clue on what will be done during the downtime, although the development team have shared patch notes in the past.
The Division will be down for around three hours, Ubisoft estimate, explaining in a recent online post: “The servers will shut down for a scheduled weekly maintenance on Tuesday, March 15 at 09:00 AM CET, 04:00 AM EDT, 1:00 AM PDT.
“Estimated downtime is approximately 3 hours. Thanks for your patience during this downtime.”
