Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman is playing it up on the festival circuit with news today it will be a part of the upcoming Rome Film Festival following its world premiere at the 57th New York Film Festival on September 27th and its European premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 13th.
Netflix is releasing the film and today they’ve released the official one-sheet art for the 3.5 hour movie which offers a “monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organized crime: its inner workings, rivalries and connections to mainstream politics.”
Steve Zaillian adapts the script from Charles Brandt’s novel I Heard You Paint Houses about the unsolved mystery of union boss Jimmy Hoffa’s disappearance. Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, Ray Romano, Bobby Cannavale, Anna Paquin, and Stephen Graham star.
The $160 million film hits select U.S. cinemas in early November and the service in late November.
