One of Ubisoft’s most-anticipated new titles is The Division 2, the sequel to the popular first game that launched back in 2016. The Division 2 is a third-person military shooter which tasks you with stopping malicious forces from seizing control of the government in the District of Columbia. It’s unclear how the rest of the country is affected at this point, but we should find out soon enough.
The Division 2 “Private Beta” goes on from February 7-11. If you signed up on the game’s website, you should have received an email by now with instructions on how to access the beta. Additionally, if you preordered the game, you should be able to access the beta as well. Servers should go online at 4 AM EST on February 7. The beta download is almost 46 GB so be sure you have enough internet usage and hard drive space on your Xbox One. Xbox One X users are in for a treat because the game runs at native 4K resolution on the console!
The private beta features two main missions, five side missions, and the chance to discover the eastern part of the open world full of additional activities. You can also experience the revamped “Dark Zone East” for a chance to get your hands on rare gear, and fight in “Skirmish” mode against other players.
However, the real highlight of the game kicks off on February 8 because you can immerse yourself in The Division 2’s endgame with three all-new specializations and a high-level mission. This is the best way to experience what players can expect after the campaign ends. Keep in mind that this is a beta and there are bound to be issues like disconnections and crashes. Ubisoft advises players to restart the client after every few hours to avoid issues pertaining to memory.
