Sony has announced that Telltale’s zombie adventure game will be free next month on PlayStation Plus in the US.
On the PS Blog, PlayStation Digital Platforms Community Manager Morgan Haro announced that as of August 7th, The Walking Dead Episode 1: A New Day and The Walking Dead Episode 2: Starved for Help will join the PS Plus Instant Game Collection as free titles. The two episodes will count as one game replacement, with Gotham City Impostors being dropped out of rotation to accommodate them.
The PlayStation Blog doesn’t mention whether the next three episodes will be offered for free or at a discount.

The Walking Dead has become Telltale’s fastest-selling game series ever, with the first episode of five, titled ‘A New Day’ topping the sales charts as the #1 best-selling title on Xbox LIVE Arcade for two weeks straight. It has also secured a top spot at the top of the sales charts in its launch week Steam as well as on PSN.
Sony has promised to reveal more details of August bonuses for PS+ subscribers to come.
“We’ll be coming at you with another update on August 13th, with more additions to the Instant Game Collection and additional awesome sauce,” promised PlayStation Digital Platforms community manager Morgan Haro.
