Focus Features has revealed our first glimpse at the early life and upbringing of Jesus in the upcoming film The Young Messiah with a new featurette that takes you behind the scenes of the religious picture. Check out The Young Messiah featurette below!
The Young Messiah tells the inspiring and unique story of seven-year-old Jesus Christ and his family as they come to a fuller understanding of His divine nature and purpose. It features Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings) as Severus, David Bradley (“Game of Thrones”) as the Old Rabbi, Jonathan Bailey (Testament of Youth) as King Herod, Isabelle Adriani (The American) as Seleni, Christian McKay (Me and Orson Welles) as Cleopas and Adam Greaves-Neal (“Sherlock”) as Jesus Christ.
Written by Cyrus Nowrasteh and Betsy Nowrasteh (The Stoning of Soraya M.) based on the novel “Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt” by Anne Rice, The Young Messiah is directed by Nowrasteh and produced by Chris Columbus, Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe (Pixels).
Focus Features will release the film just in time for Easter on March 11, 2016.
