Disney has just released the latest numbers for Marvel Studios’ Thor: The Dark World which show that it has officially crossed the $600 million mark at the global box office (Domestic – $188.9 million, International – $411.8 million). This makes it the third Disney release (and second Marvel Studios film) to do so this year, following Marvel’s Iron Man 3 and Disney•Pixar’s Monsters University.
The film has already outgrossed the first Thor movie by over $150 million and has also passed the global box office totals for both Iron Man ($585 million) and Captain America: The First Avenger ($371 million). The film is still playing in wide release and will open in Japan on February 1.
