Time Warner Cable (TWC) has added a variety of local networks to its app available for the iPad, iPhone, Android 4.0 devices, and TWCTV.com. Eleven channels have been added to most of New York City; Eight channels to the Dallas, Texas area; and nine to the Charlotte, North Carolina market.
New York City with the exception of the Hudson Valley locality adds ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, TBS, YES, SNY, MSG, MSG+, NBA TV, the MLB Nework, and the NHL Network. Dallas sees the addition of ESPN, EPSN2, TNT, TBS, Fox Sports Southwest, NBA TV, the MLB Network, and the NHL Network. Charlotte gains ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, TBS, Fox Sports Carolinas, Sportsouth, NBA TV, the MLB Network, and the NHL Network.
Up to 200 live TV channels are served to the TWC TV app regardless of platform. The app requires a TWC television package equal to or greater than the Expanded Basic (Standard) level or greater, a TWC user name and password, and a persistent Internet connection.
