Over the weekend schedule and images for the Tokyo Ghoul JACK OVA were revealed, but that’s not all the Ghoul-related news that popped up. Bandai Namco Games busted out a teaser trailer for PS Vita adventure game Tokyo Ghoul: Jail, which has been confirmed for a fall release in Japan.
Bandai Namco Entertainment had revealed the game in January under the title Tokyo Ghoul Masquerader.
The game will feature a story that differs from the original manga and it will also feature an original protagonist named Rio (pictured below). Original manga creator Sui Ishida designed the character.
The game takes place after the battle of the Aogiri Tree in the 11th ward. Rio works with Kaneki to accomplish a certain goal. Based on dialogues and the relationships built with other characters from the manga series such as Ken Kaneki, Tōka Kirishima, Kōtaro Amon, and Jūzō Suzuya, the game’s ending will change.
Ishida’s original manga has also inspired the “Tokyo Ghoul Carnaval” smartphone game that is now available for iOS and Android.
