The last bit of filming on Mission: Impossible 6 is underway ahead of its late July release. Tom Cruise has once again been back in action, this time performing a stunt on the roof of the Blackfriars station in London.
USA Today reports that the stunt brought ‘central London to a standstill’ and halted traffic on the bridge with boats being kept away from the area on the Thames river. The Christopher McQuarrie film began shooting in April but was halted in August due to an injury sustained by Cruise.
The filming this week was a return to the area of the accident and what appears to have Cruise performing a similar stunt to that which caused his injury months before. He was also seen running across the skyline at high speed. Head to The Daily Mail to see all the photos.
After his injury, filming then resumed in October, ran through December, went on a holiday break, and is now in its last weeks. Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt alongside Simon Pegg (Benji Dunn), Ving Rhames (Luther Stickell), Rebecca Ferguson (Ilsa Faust) Sean Harris (Solomon Lane), Michelle Monaghan (Julia Meade) and Alec Baldwin (Alan Hunley).
Franchise newcomers this time out are Henry Cavill, Vanessa Kirby and Angela Bassett. The new film opens July 27th 2018.
