The Toshiba Thrive 7-inch Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet has been given an early unboxing ahead of its launch. In the silent video bewlow, the user shows the device removed from its packaging with a quick view of the tablet itself as the contents of the box. The Thrive, which is due to go on sale on July 10, is shown to be a bit thicker than most of its competition, however, part of the reason for this it holds a replaceable battery that most of its competition lacks.
Apart from its replaceable battery, it otherwise retains all the standard Honeycomb tablet trimmings. These include an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. It also includes HDMI, USB ports and a microSD slot.
The Thrive is available in a 16GB model retailing for $480 and 32GB model that is selling for $580. An 8GB version is also available, but in smaller quantities, for $430.
