Twitter’s 2.0 app for BlackBerry smartphones began reaching devices on Thursday. While the App World page has yet to be updated, the upgrade should be available within a day for most users. It follows up on the software’s beta release earlier in May.
The free app will sport a new header for better notifications, a new navigation bar and a single search screen, among other changes. Its search box will return keywords, local searchers, people, and trends from the entire BlackBerry 6 OS instead of just the Twitter app. An always available compose button lets users quickly start new messages.
Finally, a freshened up user interface will make the app look more like it does on Android devices and the new web app.
