Twitter rolled out new features for businesses that will allow them to reach out to customers and fans via Direct Message.
The thrust of the new tool makes it possible for brands to create welcome messages and quick relies that can be used together to inform customers and direct them to select content, such as self-help tools or chat bots for more personalized help. Twitter worked with about a dozen companies to help create and foster these tools.
Evernote and Pizza Hut are some of the first to put them to use, but the APIs brands need for these functionalities remains in private beta for now.
People often take to Twitter to vent about problems with companies or brands. Twitter believes helping brands respond quickly to explosive social network messages can help everyone.
