Watch Dogs is launching May 27th on all targeted platforms except for on Wii U, that version has been pushed back to a later date in 2014 to give their studio in Bucharest “time to explore the GamePad and be able to have fun with it and see how far they could push it.” While Ubisoft is still one of the few third party developers supporting the Wii U this year, calling it “an interesting platform” with “its own strength” that they’d like to take advantage of, that didn’t stop fans from blowing up the comment section on Ubisoft’s blog article on why the game was delayed.
Now, while unconfirmed by the publisher, Ubisoft’s North American Uplay store (via) says the game is targeting a Fall 2014 release window for the Wii U system. The European Uplay store still lists the Wii U version for May 27 along with the rest of the targeted platforms, but that is more than likely an error.
