Universal Pictures has just updated their release calendar with placeholder dates reserved for three new horror films from Blumhouse Productions. Details on the specific projects have not yet been revealed, but the schedule is shaping up as follows:
The first new film will arrive on Friday, September 25, going up against the animated adventure Hotel Transylvania 2 and writer/director Nancy Meyers’ The Intern, a comedy starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.
The second film will arrive in theaters on January 8, 2016. That’s the same date that Focus Features has plans to release its supernatural thriller The Forest.
The third mystery film will see release on October 21, 2016. It’s the first major release to lay claim to that date.
