Universal Pictures’ has announced that their Universal R-Rated Comedy is indeed Neighbors 2, as many had speculated. The sequel will be released on the previously-announced date of Friday, May 13, 2016.
Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Rose Byrne once again join director Nicholas Stoller for Neighbors 2, the follow-up to 2014’s smash hit which grossed more than $269 million worldwide and was the year’s biggest original comedy.
Returning to produce are Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver under their Point Grey Pictures banner. Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O’Brien will serve as executive producers alongside Good Universe’s Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake.
The comedy’s writers include Cohen, O’Brien, Rogen, Stoller, and Goldberg.
