Filming is reportedly slated to begin in January on Detective Pikachu, a live-action film based on the wildly popular Japanese Pokemon video game series which has been setup at Legendary Pictures.
Goosebumps director Rob Letterman helms the project from a script by Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch. No casting announcements have yet been made, with the story to follow the high-functioning but bossy yellow creature and his human friend as they become a very unlikely mystery-solving team.
Meanwhile Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman sequel is reportedly targeting June next year to begin filming ahead of a December 2019 release. Additionally, Chris Pine is expected to have a role in the sequel though it’s unclear in what capacity.
