Recording star Usher today released Usher’s Top 100, an iPhone App now available for purchase in the App Store. Usher’s Top 100 features hours of streaming songs personally selected by the pop star himself, including his own music and that of other artists who have influenced his work. The App represents Usher’s jam-list and is like having Usher personally spinning tunes for you.
Usher’s Top 100 features Usher’s favorite songs, from old-school Aretha Franklin and James Brown to the late, great Michael Jackson at his best. Recent hits from Lil’ Wayne and T.I. make this App a perfect party mix for hours of uninterrupted streaming music. By downloading the Usher’s Top 100 App, fans have the opportunity to see what Usher loads on his own iPod and can purchase songs with a click, directly from their iPhone.
The new Usher’s Top 100 App is available in the Music Category of the iPhone App Store for a one-time price of $2.99. Usher’s Top 100 was developed in partnership between Wizzard Media and Melodeo. Melodeo is purveyor of the nuTsie.com music website and the nuTsie line of mobile music products. nuTsie currently offers 40+ streaming music apps in the iPhone App Store and previously offered another first-of-its-kind app featuring the entire catalog of the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated band The Presidents of the United States of America.
Usher has sold over 40 million albums worldwide and has won five Grammy Awards. In 2008, Usher was ranked as the 21st most successful Hot 100 Singles Artist of all-time by Billboard magazine and was ranked higher than any other artist of his generation according to the Recording Industry Association of American. In addition to his success as an R&B artist, Usher has also acted in a number of successful feature films and performed in the Broadway musical Chicago. With his last album Here I Stand, Usher stepped into new territory drawing from his own life to identify the sounds and themes for his work. Usher’s Top 100 App is a playlist that includes some of those influences.
