At the MeeGo Conference in Dublin, the most up to date MeeGo 1.1 OS was shown on an Intel Moorestown-based Aava smartphone. The video shows there is still a major amount of work that needs to be done by developers. The basic system works well enough, but is missing the level of polish found on more mature OSes.
A notification subsystem is pretty well finished, however, with support for numerous notification types that trigger lights, haptic feedback and dialog boxes. A way to handle the mechanisms is absent thus far, however.
