Vine has announced a significant update to its service for both Android and iOS devices. Users of Vine can now record and send messages directly to other users privately.
According to Vine, messages can be sent to one or several people both in your network and out. Users can choose to receive messages only from those they follow, or from anyone. The Vine inbox separates in-network and out-of-network messages to make them easier to tell apart. The app now also lets users customize their profile with different colors.
Vine for Android and iOS is free to download from the Google Play or App Store, respectively.
