Volkswagen Group is rethinking it battery-purchasing plan worth $56 billion due to concerns over it supply deal with Samsung may hit major road bumps per a report by the Automotive News Europe.
VW’s electric vehicle plans will require more than 300 gigawatt hours in Europe and Asia alone.
Besides Samsung, VW sources batteries from LG Chem, Samsung and SK Innovation for the European market. Also have also partnered with SK Innovation for the North America market.
