Wacom Announces Bamboo Stylus ‘Feel’ for Win 8 and Android Devices

Wacom has today the availability of its new Bamboo Stylus “feel” line, two new digital pens for Android and Windows 8 tablets. The new additions integrate Electro-Magnetic Resonance technology in order to provide a higher-quality, pressure-sensitive writing experience with more precision in note-taking, sketching, and device navigation. The Stylus feel uses both EMR technology and “active” pen and sensor technology to give a writing experience closer to that of a traditional ball-point pen or pencil.

The new pens are different from the capacitive styluses Wacom has previously rolled out for the iPad, due to the ability of the “feel” styluses to communicate with the tablet in order to relay pressure sensitivity information. The Bamboo Stylus “feel” will come in two different versions, a carbon fiber model and a non-carbon fiber version, available in black or white.

The Bamboo Stylus “feel” will be available January 7 in North America on Wacom’s e-store and at select retailers. The carbon fiber model, which comes in executive silver and black, will retail for $80. The second version will be available for $40.
