Today Where’d You Go, Bernadette started its three day Seattle Shoot. The film has already been shooting in Pittsburgh and Vancover BC. The crew will even take those ARRI cameras on the road to Greenland, before it is a wrap. We have some photos of the crew working outside the main branch of the Seattle Library below.
The films is being directed by Richard Linklater (Boyhood), who’s upcoming Last Flag Flying will be an opening night entry in the New York Film Festival on Sept. 28. Mr. Linklater is also a screenwriter on the project. Production companies are Annapurna Pictures and Color Force.
Where’d You Go, Bernadette is a satiric comedy based on 2012 novel by Maria Semple’s of the same name. The movie stars two-time Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett along with Kristen Wiig, Billy Crudup, Judy Greer and Laurence Fishburne.
The flick is a story of a brilliant, quirky Seattle architect whose relationship with her 15-year-old daughter, Bee, is tested after she goes missing before a family trip to Antarctica.
Last Flag Flying (click to see the trailer) which stars Steve Carell, Bryan Cranston and Laurence Fishburne, opens in theaters Nov. 3. Mr. Linklater also wrote the screenplay.
