Speaking at the Geena Davis Institute last week, producer Deborah Snyder (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) revealed that production is set to officially begin on the Wonder Woman movie this November.
“We still wanted a female director and we found Patty Jenkins, who had the right vision and the same vision that we had for the character. We’re really happy that we’re going to be going into production in November, it’s been a really great process. We’ve tried to hire as many female members of the crew as possible.”

Gal Gadot is attached to headline Wonder Woman, which will be directed by Monster‘s Patty Jenkins and co-star Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. The character will make her first cinematic appearance, however, in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. She may even make additional appearances across DC’s new cinematic universe before her solo film sees release on June 23, 2017. It’s pretty much a guarantee, too, that Wonder Woman (and potentially Trevor as well) will play an important role in Justice League Part One, hitting theaters on November 10, 2017.
