On Monday, WWE 2K18 was announced for a new platform. The game will release on Nintendo Switch in the Fall, the game will be released on October 17 for the PS4 and XB1. Cover athlete Seth Rollins delivered the announcement in the video you can watch below.
This is a major score for the publisher and console. 2K Sports will collect revenue for purchases from a third console and perhaps a fourth platform if the game is announced for PC. This is also a significant addition to the Nintendo Switch library.
There are currently few sports titles available for the system, but you can bet this one will quickly become a favorite for enthusiasts. The press release provided says the Switch version will have MyCAREER, a customization suite and the largest roster in WWE games history. The same roster claim has been made for the PS4 and XB1 versions so that probably means the selection of grapplers will be the same on all consoles. According to the game’s official site, the Switch version will also feature many of the gameplay enhancements and new modes like Road to Glory as well.
