Amazon is now letting buyers pre-order Vizio’s 3D-capable 32-inch E3D-series TV priced at $499.99 and the 42-inch set that’s priced at $699.99.
The two are part of a wider E3D-series release introduced at this year’s CES show and very nearly mirror the prices that Walmart will charge when they arrive sometime in April. The and E3D420VX are due to ship in between three and five weeks.
The E3D TVs use FPR-based Theater 3D technology to deliver the 3D effect to viewers. This requires passive 3D glasses, two sets of which are included with either set. Both share 1080p resolutions, built-in Wi-Fi connections and a dynamic contrast ratio of 200,000:1. The smaller set uses a 60Hz panel and the larger one doubles that to 120Hz. The 42-inch model also gets a USB port that allows for playback of MP3 files and JPG images.
