For around $1,000 consumers can jump into a portable 3600 3D virtual reality (VR) camera and make their own VR content.
And yes, the company behind it unveiled the camera at CES 2016.
HumanEyes Technologies is introducing the VUZE, a VR camera with dedicated software studio designed to give consumers an affordable option for creating immersive VR content.
VUZE will demonstrate the 360 3D VR throughout CES. The camera combines 3D and 2D capture technology using eight full-HD cameras within an easy-to-use point-and-shoot form factor. The VUZE Studio software allows near real-time processing (1 minute per minute) and seamless stitching thanks to a proprietary technique called adaptive blending that mimics the way the human eye interacts with the brain, the company said in a release.
The software studio works on PC and Mac.
