Director Adam Wingard (You’re Next) is set to take the chair on the upcomingLegendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. film Godzilla vs. Kong, per a report in THR.
The script is penned by Terry Rossio , who holds a story credit on 1998’s Godzilla. Also working on the script is Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne, Lindsey Beer, Cat Vasko, T.S. Nowlin, and comic and television writing great J. Michael Straczynski.
Classic Toho monsters including King Ghidorah, Mothra, and Rodan, as announced at Comic-Con 2014, may also join the Legendary pantheon of giant monster mayhem going forward.
Adam Wingard is also known for directing V/H/S, V/H/S 2 and The Guest starring Dan Stevens (Beauty and the Beast). He recently directed the Blair Witch reboot and the Netflix manga adaptation Death Note.
