Nike has finally released an Android version of the Nike+ FuelBand app, two years after it launched the iOS version, and far later than initially anticipated. The app works with the company’s FuelBand SE wrist-based fitness tracker, allowing users to monitor their NikeFuel score and other functions the sports brand introduced in the original companion app.
The app links to the online Nike+ profile, which it updates periodically with the user’s score from the device, thanks to its Bluetooth 4.0 connection. A daily goal can be set and updated from within the app, with NikeFuel generation for specific activities and movement reminders also available, along with a scoreboard to compare the user with others in their social network.
