Assassin’s Creed 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction will finally appear on the Mac by September, details of the company’s next fiscal quarter show. The Mac releases will lag several months behind their console and Windows counterparts. AC2 was released for consoles in November of last year, and for Windows in March 2010
In AC2 players assume the role of Ezio, a man from 15th-century Italy who joins an ongoing conflict between the Assassins and the Templars. Gameplay is based on a blend of stealth, scaling rooftops and hand-to-hand combat. Conviction continues the story of former NSA agent Sam Fisher as he delves further into the death of his daughter. Players evade detection or clear out rooms full of enemies using a host of gadgets.
