Back in September, at IDF, Asus detailed a brand new Bay Trail-powered Transformer notebook. The T100 hit shelves on Friday, right in line with the release date Asus offered in September, and is priced at $349.
The Transformer Book T100 sports a two-part dockable design that converts the device from a notebook to a tablet. It’s based on Intel’s “Bay Trail-T” platform, boasting a quad-core Atom Z3740 chip powering a 10.1 inch IPS multi-touch HD screen with 178 degree viewing angles and a 1366 x 768 resolution.
The device also features Windows 8.1 out of the box as well as Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013, packing full versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. The T100 also has 2 GB of RAM, up to 64 GB of storage, a front-facing 1.2-megapixel camera, 802.11a/b/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, Micro-HDMI, MicroSD, USB 3.0, and a 31Wh lithium polymer battery.
