ASUS has revealed prices and ship dates for its 10.1-inch Eee Pad Transformer netbook/tablet and the 12.1-inch Eee Slate EP121 for the UK. The Transformer is now available for pre-order and ships on April 6. It will cost £379 ($607) for the 16GB version and £429 ($688) for the 32GB version, with both prices including local taxes.
The optional keyboard with its extra battery promises a total run time of 16 hours and costs £429 ($688) together with the 16GB Transformer. A version with a 3G radio will come about two months later, though a specific date or price wasn’t made available. The device will be the first of its kind to ship with Android 3.0, ASUS claims.
The Eee Slate EP121, meanwhile, will be exclusive to Amazon from April 10 to May 1 in the UK. It will cost £999 ($1,602) but get a low-voltage 1.33GHz Core i5 processor, Wi-Fi and a 64GB SSD.
Both include unlimited cloud storage from ASUS for one year.
