ASUS recently announced VivoWatch 6, the new flagship smartwatch that offers comprehensive health-management features. The watch boasts a 1.39-inch AMOLED Gorilla® Glass touchscreen with 350 nits brightness. In addition to the ASUS Blood Pressure and ASUS ECG apps[i], ASUS VivoWatch 6 sets a new standard for health wearables and is able to measure body composition, sleep quality, as well as a Relaxation Index and Body Harmony Analysis. An overall weight of just 60 grams means that the watch can be worn comfortably for the entire day. ASUS VivoWatch 6 also features dual-band GPS and up to 14 days[ii] of battery life.
“Leveraging cutting-edge innovations and years of medical expertise, ASUS VivoWatch 6 is designed to help users keep track of their long-term health goals easily, allowing them to monitor vital health stats anytime, anywhere to truly achieve preventive healthcare,” said Sharon Pan, senior director of Smart Health Product Planning at ASUS.
Health at your fingertips
ASUS VivoWatch 6 is equipped with two sets of medical-grade ECG and PPG sensors, offering the wearer convenient fingertip measurements. The outer ring of the VivoWatch 6 features a bioelectrical impedance (BIA) sensor to measure body composition. Placing the thumb and index finger on the watch face sensor will reveal body fat and skeletal muscle percentages, water content, and basal metabolic rate.
ASUS VivoWatch 6 is also able to monitor the balance of the autonomic nervous system and uses heart rate variability (HRV) as the basis to calculate the Relaxation Index to show short-term stress levels. The Body Harmony Analysis feature will present the wearer’s daily emotional status over the past week in a simplified seven-grid chart.
ASUS HealthConnect app
The latest ASUS HealthConnect app has a user-friendly UI and provides the wearer with all tracked health parameters at a glance. The app also includes the Care Track cloud-based service that allows family members to view the wearer’s location and health status in real time – a feature ideal for those caring for the elderly.
