Audi has introduced a smartphone utility that allows users to connect with roadside assistance services through their iPhone, Android-based device or BlackBerry. The app connects to Audi and the company’s roadside assistance provider, Allstate Roadside Services. If a user runs into trouble on the road, the app sends vehicle information and GPS coordinates to dispatch the assistance
The interface provides options for a variety of different problems, allowing users to indicate if they have run out of fuel, locked keys in the car, damaged the vehicle in an accident, or experienced mechanical problems.
Audi Roadside is now available as a free download from the iTunes App Store, Android Market and BlackBerry App World.
