In late 2014 Australia and New Zealand were the only countries outside of Japan to receive the New Nintendo 3DS ahead of the updated portable broadening out to the West in early 2015. Despite this it’s taken a while for the whole range to make its way to the region, which is now being remedied.
It’s been confirmed that the black version of the smaller model will arrive in Australia and New Zealand on 17th October; since launch only the white iteration had been released.
From 5th November the region will also receive the same Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer hardware bundle as elsewhere – this includes a white New 3DS with the game pre-installed, cover plates themed to the game and a ‘special’ amiibo card.
