With a little bit of modesty, the company that develops the creative tools used by professional editors sent a shout-out to Academy Award winners who took home Oscars while using its suite of tools.
Avid, in fact, noted that every winner and every nominee in best picture, film editing, sound editing and sound mixing all used its suite of audio and video editing tools for those films.
Customers and users of Avid MediaCentral or Avid MediaComposer won awards for Best Film for “Birdman,” for Film Editing for “Whiplash: and for Sound Editing, for “American Sniper.”
Winners Alan Robert Murray and Bub Asman for “American Sniper” also used Avid’s Pro Tools for sound editing and mixing
The company also regularly salutes winning customers at the annual Grammy Awards.
