John McCain and his senatorial colleagues Barbara Boxer and Olympia Snowe are to appear in the fifth season episode ‘Ms Knope Goes To Washington’, airing September 27.
The politicians will be playing themselves in the upcoming installment of the NBC sitcom.
‘Ms Knope Goes To Washington’ sees Leslie (Amy Poehler) meet the three senators while visiting boyfriend Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott) in the nation’s capital, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Poehler was recently honored with a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for ‘Lead Actress In A Comedy Series’.
Parks and Recreation returns on Thursday, September 20 at 9.30/8.30c on NBC.
