BlackBerry recently said BlackBerry Messenger version 2.2 is coming to the Android and iOS platforms.
BBM 2.2 doesn’t add any major new features, but it does streamline the app’s behavior and functionality. For example, BBM 2.2 requires less work when creating new accounts and simplifies the friending process. BBM 2.2 also adds more than a dozen new emoticons.
BBM 2.2 should be available for Android devices as of today. It will reach iOS devices in the days ahead.
