Oscar-nominated actress Helena Bonham Carter will join Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) in the film adaptation of Nancy Springer’s Edgar Award-nominated Enola Holmes Mysteries novel series. Millie Bobby Brown is producing with and her sister, Paige Brown, via their PCMA Productions firm.
The books span multiple installments centering on Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ teenage sister as she strikes out as a capable detective.
Carter is reportedly set to portray the role of Brown’s mother. Harry Bradbeer directs with Jack Thorne set to pen the screenplay. Brown will also be serving as producer.
Carter will next be seen in the upcoming third season of Netflix’s The Crown as Prince Margaret.
