Audio equipment manufacturer Braven has announced the availability of the shock-absorbent . The IPX5-certified water-resistant speaker is aimed at the outdoors afficionado. The device boasts a built-in power bank, allowing users to charge a cellphone from the battery in the speaker.
With 12 hours of playtime from the 1400mAh battery, the 6W speaker wirelessly streams music via Bluetooth for stereo sound. Users can also connect to a device or stereo system via 3.5mm jack. In addition, the speaker features a noise-cancelling microphone to make and take calls from anywhere.
The BRV-1 Bluetooth speaker is available in lava or glacier colors for $170 at the Braven website.
